What is the Selection Process For Watcher Jobs in tamil nadu forest ?

The Selection Process is divided into 3 phases. Candidate need to clear all of the phase to get selected as a watcher for tamil nadu forest department.

The First Phase is Physical Standard, Second Phase is Endurance Test And the Third and very important phase is Computer based online test.

1) Eligibility Of Physical Standard for Watcher

Physical standard is different for male candidates and female candidates. it includes minimum height and chest standards to qualify. Here is the information about physical Standard Test / PST.

• For Male Candidates
  • Height : 163 CM
  • Chest : 79 CM And Expansion 5 CM
• For Female Candidates:
  • Height : 150 CM
  • Chest : 74 CM And Expansion 5 CM

A certificate containing the following particulars should be obtained from a Medical Officer, above the rank of an Assistant Surgeon appointed by the Government to Government Medical Institution on or after the date of Notification 07-03–2019 and submit the documents when called for by the TNFUSRC.

2) Endurance / Physical Eligibility Test (PET) For Watcher

Applicant will be required to undergo a Physical test consisting of a walk over 25 km and 16 km to be completed in four hours by male and female / third gender candidates respectively which will be conducted by the TNFUSRC. Candidate must satisfy a Medical Board in Chennai regarding his/her physical fitness and capacity for rough outdoor work in the Tamil Nadu Forest Department.

3) Computer Based Online Examination for TNFUSRC

In this examination candidates will provided with the exam center and admit card. Exam center will be written in admit card and to take part in examination you need to reach out to the center.

At the exam center one computer with the online exam will be provided to you. It will be Objective type examination and you need to select answers in the computer which will be connected to internet.

To take part in Online examination of watchers for forest department you need to pay application fee which is 150 INR for all the candidates. You can pay that through online payment gateway using credit card / debit card / Net banking or you can print out challan and pay the challan at the nearest appointed bank of yours.

Examinations will be held in all districts of Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Forest Uniformed Services Recruitment Committee (TNFUSRC) reserves the right to modify the number of Examination Centres and to re-allot the candidates.
